EVERTON 21/22 HOME KIT

Everton Football Club has revealed its new hummel home kit for 2021/22, which features a two-tone patterned blue shirt, white shorts with royal blue and yellow detailing, and white socks.

The use of the dazzle pattern is inspired by the role of the city of Liverpool and its docks in painting naval ships with the inventive and bold livery during the First World War. The brainchild of a British marine artist, the use of contrasting shapes, tones and colours proved highly effective at disguising a vessel's size, speed, distance and direction, confusing the enemy at sea.  

As with all the Everton 2021/22 kits, this season's home kit will be environmentally friendly in line with the Club's ‘Everton For Change’ initiative and feature hummel's ECO8 technology. New for this campaign, the implementation of ECO8 means each shirt is manufactured from high-performing polyester produced from up to eight recycled plastic bottles. 

EVERTON 20/21 AWAY KIT 

Everton has revealed a striking new away kit for the 2021/22 season that pays homage to one of the Club’s earliest strips. The retro hummel offering is inspired by the kit worn by the Everton team of 1881/82 – a side that came to be nicknamed ‘The Black Watch’.

The authentic nod to the ‘Black Watch’ kit of 1881/82 – the third season of Everton’s existence – comes following fan calls for the revered strip to be replicated and to celebrate the Club’s role as a pillar of the community for more than 140 years. The original strip was worn for home matches – then a series of friendlies and local cup fixtures played on Stanley Park – with Everton not adopting its famous royal blue colours until a decade later in 1901.

To ensure a design that is a true reflection of the original, hummel have broken with tradition, their famous chevrons and logo being a tonal grey, rather than the iconic white.
